私は、サーフィンを通じて日本とパプアニューギニアをつなぐ草の根活動を続けています。
2009年より、パプアニューギニア政府観光局のサーフィン親善大使として活動し、壮大な自然、波、そして温かい人々との出会いを通じて、この国の魅力を日本へ伝えてきました。
私自身、流暢に英語を話せるわけではありません。
それでも、パプアニューギニアの人々は、言葉を越えて、笑顔や心で私を受け入れてくれます。
そこには、現代社会が忘れかけている「人と人との本当のつながり」があるように感じています。
これまで、日本のサーファーと現地の子どもたちによる絵手紙交流や文化交流を行い、その作品は宮内庁文化祭でも展示されました。
また、パプアニューギニア・サーフィン協会（SAPNG）より感謝状を授与されるなど、サーフィンを通じた国際交流活動を続けています。
このサイトでは、パプアニューギニアの自然、文化、人々との交流、そして波を通じて感じた「過去と未来をつなぐ旅」を発信しています。
サーフィンを通じて、新たな出会いと理解が生まれ、未来へ続く架け橋となることを願っています。

Through surfing, I have continued grassroots activities connecting Japan and Papua New Guinea.
Since 2009, I have served as a Surfing Friendship Ambassador for the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority, sharing the beauty of this remarkable country through its powerful waves, magnificent nature, and the warmth of its people.
I do not speak fluent English.
Yet the people of Papua New Guinea warmly welcome me beyond language, through smiles, kindness, and shared experiences.
There, I feel a genuine human connection that modern society may be slowly forgetting.
As part of these activities, Japanese surfers and local children exchanged art and letters, and some of these works were later displayed at a cultural exhibition connected to the Imperial Household Agency in Japan.
I have also received certificates of appreciation from the Surfing Association of Papua New Guinea (SAPNG) for contributing to international cultural exchange through surfing.
Through this website, I share the nature, culture, people, and waves of Papua New Guinea — a journey where past and future meet through the ocean.
I hope that through surfing, new connections and deeper understanding will continue to grow between people and cultures.
